With a strong family history in long-term care, Stan Studer felt right at home when he founded Care Inn Properties Inc. in 1991. This company’s first acquisition was the Brenham Rest Home in Brenham, Texas.

Under Stan’s leadership, the company – known today as Touchstone Communities – now operates or manages communities across most of Texas, including several Texas State Veterans Homes, and employs around 3,000 team members. Stan achieved this success by building a team of compassionate industry leaders dedicated to making a difference in the lives of the people they serve and creating a culture of accountability, effective communication, and innovation to deliver the highest level of healthcare and service. He continues to be the driving force that makes Touchstone Communities a dynamic provider of health care services.

Stan has served on numerous legislative committees and has been active in industry associations. He received a bachelor’s degree in business and a master’s degree in real estate, both from Texas A&M University.
