SAN ANTONIO, Texas — The American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) has announced the 2026 Bronze and Silver National Quality Award recipients. These are the most prestigious awards in the post-acute care healthcare industry, recognizing long-term care organizations whose commitment to meeting rigorous standards of quality enhances outcomes for their residents every day.

Five Touchstone Communities received the Silver National Quality Award — the only Silver award winners in the state of Texas. These include The Heights® of Gonzalez, The Heights® on Valley Ranch, Las Alturas Nursing & Transitional Care, The Heights® of Alamo, and Frank M. Tejeda Texas State Veterans Home.

Four Touchstone Communities received the Bronze National Quality Award, including: Hill Country Heights, The Heights® of Tyler, Rosewood Villas Assisted Living and La Frontera Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Cathy Bergland, AHCA/NCAL National Quality Board Chair, reflected on the significance of this recognition for organizations and the industry as a whole.

The 2026 National Quality Award Recipients will be celebrated at Delivering Solutions 26, the AHCA/NCAL Convention and Expo being held October 11-14, 2026, in Boston.
