Our Commitment

#HereYoureFamily

At Touchstone Communities, we are not just caregivers, we are “team members who honor, listen, and care about your needs. When you walk through our doors, you become part of the Touchstone family—a family focused on you.”

For residents such as Ellen Reasons of The Heights on Valley Ranch and her son Lamar Lewis, this is a particularly challenging time. Having to maintain social distancing for the safety of all residents and team members, Ellen and her Lamar have been separated for several weeks now. Though connecting virtually helps, it can’t replace the sensation of a hug between mother and son. And it’s during these trying times where loved ones like Lamar rely on us to provide the care they want their mothers, fathers, grandparents, aunts, uncles and beyond to receive.

When a resident comes to one of our communities, we’re not only caring for their health and well-being. We’re caring for their family as well. They entrust us with the responsibility of providing compassionate care for the people they love: their family. And now, with the worry of COVID-19, the importance of increasing the level of care and safety our residents receive takes on even more significance. And as the messages we’ve received from family friends below will indicate, you’re rising to meet that challenge head on.

“They’re taking lovely care of my mom; since I haven’t been able to visit for a couple months now, I was especially concerned for her. But they have kept her very stable and cheerful despite this difficult new situation. The staff has been so helpful!”

“Our family is very grateful for all nurses and staff members that look after our mother, Dorothy Black and all the patients at BN&R [Bandera Nursing & Rehab]. Thank you!”

“Appreciate all your hard work during this pandemic. You are our community Heroes!”

As we continue to celebrate Nurses Week, our superheroes in scrubs continue to forge ahead on the frontline of this pandemic.

“Thank all Nursing Staff for all your hard work and patience.”
“You are very much appreciated. May God continue to bless you with strength, good health, joy and peace.”
“Appreciate y’all and all your unending patience and care.”

When we think about our Purpose, Vision, Mission, our residents and their loved ones are seeing that commitment on a daily basis. And it’s not going unnoticed.

You, our valued team members, continue to show your true character by taking tremendous care of the residents and helping them communicate virtually with their loved ones. These are trying times, but remember, “Adversity does not build character…it reveals it.”

We’re not only healthcare professionals, we’re also parents, grandparents, children, and spouses. We use our skills to provide health care to our residents, and we use our servant hearts to treat all our residents the way we want our own families to be treated.
