Local student volunteers and board members with the Salvation Army spread Christmas cheer and show their appreciation for veterans Dec. 9 with a visit to the Frank M. Tejeda Texas State Veterans Home in Floresville. All in attendance, Barbara Trevino (l-r), Nancy Hosek, Rebekah Canady, Sara Canady, Erika Hughey, Brooke Brown, Kathy Brown, and Region 3 Service Extension Representative Anthony Torres, greeted veterans with a warm smile, a fresh donut, a colorful blanket, and a bag of toiletries.
