Great Fun
ROSES: To the staff and all volunteers at Watkins-Logan Texas State Veteran’s Home next door to the UT Health Center up on State Highway 155, for treating the residents to their families First Day of Summer Block Party on June 21. The Marines grilled up some tasty burgers and hotdogs while the staff prepared plates for the residents of each cottage to enjoy. There was a waterslide and bounce house for grandkids, watermelon slices, snow cones, cotton candy and cake walk with entertainment by a very talented country music band.
This is just one example of the fun things that Watkins-Logan is always organizing for our vets and their families. This facility is really a “rose” here in the Rose City that more folks should know about. We’re lucky to have it here.
