Tyler licensed vocational nurse recognized by Texas Health Care Association

Tyler resident Vania Padilla, licensed vocational nurse at The Heights of Tyler, has been named the Texas Health Care Association’s Nurse of the Year for Region 4, according to a news release.

Padilla was nominated by her co-workers and selected by a panel of long term care clinicians from across Texas.

Padilla has distinguished herself as one of the best nurses on the team at The Heights of Tyler. Her coworkers say Padilla is adept at assessing acute and chronic conditions, and that her instinct for nursing care makes her valuable to the residents in her care.

Vania is described by her peers as kind, patient, thorough, smart, helpful, nurturing, professional, dedicated, energizing, with a positive attitude. Her attitude and aptitude for nursing is exemplified in the care she provides.

Padilla was recently recognized as one of 10 Nurses of the Year representing geographic regions in the state during the Texas Health Care Association Annual Convention and Trade Show in Houston.
