Floresville resident Sheri Hall is the Texas Health Care Association’s Nurse of the Year for Region 3. Hall is a Licensed Vocational Nurse at Frank M. Tejeda Texas State Veterans Home in Floresville.
Hall was nominated by her co-workers and selected by a panel of long term care clinicians from across Texas. Region 3 is one of 10 statewide, and includes South Texas.
Hall is always positive and cheerful, and her residents know her by name and are always glad to see her. She takes time in understanding her residents’ needs and goes above and beyond when it comes to their quality of life. She personally goes out of her way to get a resident his/her favorite food or treat. And if a resident mentions to Hall wanting new socks or a belt or a pair of pants, she makes it her mission to provide a gift to the resident.
Hall was recently recognized as one of 10 Nurses of the Year representing geographic regions in the state during the Texas Health Care Association Annual Convention and Trade Show in Houston.
