Nursing homes receive bronze award

logo-mainTwo area nursing home facilities are 2013 recipients of the Bronze —Commitment to Quality award for dedication to improving the lives of residents through improved quality care.

The Frank M. Tejeda Texas State Veterans Home in Floresville and Country Care Manor in La Vernia have been recognized with this distinction through the National Quality Award program, presented by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL). The program honors facilities across the nation demonstrating commitment to improving quality care for seniors and all long term care residents.

“We are extremely honored and humbled by this recognition,” said Peter Porras, administrator of the Frank M. Tejeda Texas State Veterans Home.

“This achievement is a testament of the outstanding team members who make the mission of Country Care Manor a reality by delivering compassionate care every single day,” said Susan Peters, administrator of Country Care Manor.
