Larkspur students received a back-to-school donation of school supplies from the residents of The Heights on Huebner, a rehabilitation and nursing services facility.
The Resident Council of The Heights on Huebner organized the community outreach program and had fun personally delivering the supplies to the school. Larkspur is fortunate to have the support of this community partner and has received school supply donations from them in previous years.
“It was so much fun to collect the school supplies this year! We got probably three times as many supplies as we did last year,” said Diana Castellanos, the Activity Director at The Heights on Huebner. “Residents who came to deliver the supplies enjoyed meeting the custodians at Larkspur, who helped unload the boxes of school supplies, and asked the custodians to pose for a photo with the residents to commemorate the event.”
Diana Pelaez, Family Specialist at Larkspur, has distributed the school supplies to the neediest students on the campus so they are prepared for a successful school year.
The Larkspur Leopards thanked the Resident Council at The Heights on Huebner for supporting their students and community. The campus believes that it truly takes a village, and they are glad to have The Heights on board.
