Christmas carols for ETX Veterans

TYLER, TX (KLTV) – A Tyler veteran’s home received an early Christmas present this year, with the gift of music.

Ebenezer Day Care stopped by to sing some Christmas carols at Logan-Watkins Texas State Veterans Home.

Kayla Wallace is a 5-year-old who is spreading Christmas cheer one song a time with her friends from Ebenezer Day Care.

“We go on a field trip to sing,” says 5-year-old, Kayla.

“They’re so animated and wonderful, but isn’t that what Christmas is all about, children, of all ages,” says Linda Reed, with Logan-Watkins Texas State Veterans Home.

U.S. Army Veteran, Billy Hawkins, says the Christmas carols were exactly what they needed around the veterans home.

“I think they all got a lift and it helped them get into the Christmas spirit and everything, you know, I think it helped out a whole lot,” says Hawkins.

“We are blessed here at the community to have many schools and many children wanting to come visit us,” says Reed.
